Scotchman Industries Exhibits at FABTECH 2013
October 13, 2013Scotchman Industries is excited to present their Metal Fabricating Solutions at FABTECH 2013. Featuring a complete line of Hydraulic Ironworkers, Circular Cold Saws, Band Saws, Tube & Pipe Notcher/Grinders, Manual Measuring Systems and Programmable Feed & Stop Systems; Scotchman has been The Solution Preferred by Metal Fabricators for almost half a century! Scotchman Industries will be providing live product demonstrations during this event as well as showcasing two new products for 2013, the SU-280 Utility Band Saw and the SUP-500 NF Upcut Saw.
Capable of cutting round material up to 8.5” in diameter, the SU-280 offers an increased cutting capacity and has the ability to cut ferrous and non-ferrous materials including tubing, solid material, and structural iron at an affordable price. Standard features of the SU-280 include: single mitering head capable of producing 90 degree, 45 degree, and 30 degree cuts, a quick action locking vise, and carbide blade guides with roller supports.
The SU-280 is available in 3-phase and 1-phase models.
Scotchman will also be demonstrating the NEW SUP-500 NF non-ferrous, upcut saw which is designed so the large diameter 20" saw blade feeds up from the bottom. This design allows the machine to cut up to a 7" diameter round and up to a 11.75" x 5" rectangle. This semi-automatic machine is supplied with a safety hood, two vertical and two horizontal pneumatic clamps capable of mitering 30 degrees to the left and 0 degrees to the right.
